production, corn oil is obtained as a subproduct. Corn oil ranks as third with a
7 - 8 percent share after sunflower oil and olive oil in entire liquid oil
market in Turkiye. Especially in recent years, corn oil has had the fastest
increasing demand among vegetable oils. 80 percent of the corn oil is consumed
by urban population. When examined in regional basis, Marmara Region is the
leader with 50 percent consumption. Corn oil ranks among oleic - linoleic oil
group with its oleic acid rate changing between %19 - %49 and linoleic acid rate
changing between %34 and % 62.
